My 2008

Dear Dad & Mom

What a 2007! Almost everything that can fail failed. And almost anything that can fly floundered.
But we must thank God for all mercies, great and small. Wetin man go do!

Let's face it: For Nigeria, God helped to send the old 'do or die' political overlords forth. They may be powerful but are certainly not in power! And, Dad, you should know what that means here!! It wasn't easy o, but God do am well well, fa!

Then this anti-corruption matter is now getting traction. They can, and will, still steal. But not with the old gusto, or devil-may-care impunity. And the evidence is showing in many states - especially with brand new governors. I am upbeat!

Mom, this 2008 is very promising in several ways, on several fronts. Women are making good progress with some political strides to boot. Nigeria is not high on this yet, but it will happen. If my guess is right, a wave is coming our way. It will be full and fruitful. It starts this year.

One sure thing I predict is FOOD aplenty for our people. Many states are now working on this. Agriculture will boom from 2008. I hope aquaculture will join in - I'm quite keen on that. It has so much prospects and profits. And both Nigeria and Africa need its wonderful offerings.

Finally, my books will be published too. How about that!

So, make una pray for us o: Children and Country.

Happy New Year!

Love
Dayo
